A Real Door for Community Partners

Detroit organizations have submitted proposals to bring free programming into our schools, and too many have simply gone unanswered not from a failure of will, but a capacity problem that better process can solve.

What I plan to do

Create one standardized intake process for every organization that wants to partner with DPSCD.

Set a public response-time standard of no more than 30 business days, no more waiting in silence.

Launch a public dashboard so any parent or organization can see exactly where a proposal stands

First 4 months: audit how proposals are handled today and design the new process

By month 8: pilot it, refine it with community feedback, and bring it to the board

By year one: live district-wide, with public tracking for every proposal.

What Success Looks Like: Every organization ready to serve our kids gets a clear answer, on time and no one ever gets lost in a black hole again.
